Design and optimization for 3D Printing

Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a key enabler for high value manufacturing. The design of AM components requires a paradigm shift in the way components are designed, optimized, developed and manufactured.

To tap into the full potential it is vital that an end2end process for AM is established. This requires a simulation driven design approach based on the topology optimization application together with the knowledge of manufacturing process related design rules. Only with this combination of tools and knowledge at the fingertips of the designers and engineers, we will see the real breakthrough of the technology.
