The Next Big Idea

This year - for the first time - Altair hosted a new type of panel discussion called “The Next Big Idea” at the European Altair Technology Conference.

The “The Next Big Idea” panel discussion took place on June 24th at 4.00 pm at the Dolce Hotel in Munich/Unterschleißheim and was open to all Altair customers, the press and interested parties.

The event offered a platform to discuss innovative or even ground breaking new ideas and projects that have the potential to change or influence society or environmental issues in a positive way. The following presentations were made during the session:

“Industrial 3D Printing – A Driver For Sustainability” - Nikolai Zaepernick, Vice President, Development & Strategy, EOS GmbH

“VibroTac – A New Dimension of Perception” - Norbert Sporer, Managing Director, Sensodrive

Together with you and the participants of the panel discussion, who will present their “Next Big Idea” in a brief 5-10 minute overview, Altair explored what the future demands to meet the challenges posed by disruptive technologies, rapid global expansion, emerging business models, climatic changes, pollution, and many other business and social transitions and discuss interesting opportunities how to meet those challenges.

The event was moderated by Boris Schmidt, Editor for automotive and technology topics at FAZ (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung).
